We are Anna and Mikael and run the company. Come in and let us inspire you to a more satisfying living! With our long experience in the industry, we are there for you when you need to decorate your dream. Instead of many long references, we offer a look back at how it all began
In 1986, Mikael came out of the Vocational School as a graduated carpenter. He worked like that until 1994 when he had a few years break to work at a body shop. In the autumn of 1997, he started as a floor layer in his father's company and in 2015, when his father retired, Mikael took over the helm and runs the company today. Mikael is the one who takes care of both the financial part and makes sure that everything flows as it should in the field of work. He himself likes to see himself full-time out in the field, but can kindly sit in the office chair a few days a week. When he wants to relax, he likes to pamper his family with a good dinner.
In 1998, Anna had the opportunity to change from the care profession to work in the interior design industry. The decision was not at all difficult to make and the training took place entirely in the spirit of work. Anna also worked at Hartman sisustaa until 2003 when she moved to Närpes where she worked as a student assistant. In 2010, she started helping in the business part-time and in the spring of 2014, the decision was made to be employed full-time. Anna is a good painter and a fan of wallpaper and interior design. She speaks both Swedish and Finnish. She is in charge of the business and makes sure that you get exactly what you need for your projects. In her spare time, she prefers to paint and thrives best as there are many projects underway.
In 1976 Peter started as a carpenter and in 1989 he began his career as a floor layer. As early as 1996, he started working part-time for Sjöbloms Golv and since 2004 he has been employed full-time. Peter is the archetype of a multi-tasker. With his long experience in the industry, he is the one who can undertake all types of renovation objects and is a fan of bathrooms.
Sofia is actually a trained laboratory analyst, but in 2009 she decided to retrain. A sedentary office job was excluded and the lot fell on painting training. In the spring of 2010, she did her internship at Sjöbloms Golv and got a job after graduating. Sofia is the one who masters everything related to wallpapering, painting and tiling. She likes to see the transformation and thrives when she gets to create a pleasant home environment for the customer.
Kristoffer is a trained carpenter and has a long experience in the construction industry. But he has also had time to work at one of our local body factories and as a personal assistant. He has also had time to be an entrepreneur in machine contracting. Kristoffer started again in the construction industry and ended up in flooring and the chance to learn more in the area gives more taste. Kristoffer thinks that the final phase of the projects is exciting, to see the result and the transformation. He likes to spend his free time at the summer cottage and thrives when he has to take care of the cottage so it is kept in good condition.
Anders worked in his youth for the Vaasa Agricultural District. In the autumn of 1968, he was employed as a floor layer in Vaasa and his career began. In 1971, the store opened a branch in Närpes and Anders was given the opportunity to work in his home area. In 1975, Anders and his colleague started their own company. The year was 1996 when he sold his share to a colleague and started Sjöbloms Golv. Already the same autumn, he had an employee on the payroll. For many years, Sjöbloms Golv had no real business, but the investment was in the field of work and the customers came home to Vasavägen's garage where all the samples were available to select their material. In 2008, an investment was made in the purchase of land and the construction of a warehouse with a store. From 2015, the son Mikael runs the company. But Anders' interest in being helpful as long as his health allowed was there until his passing in November 2019.
